The 1st meeting of the EOSC Finnish Forum Coordinating Committee 20.01.2021

The EOSC Finnish Forum Coordinating Committee held its first meeting on the 20th of January 2021 in advance of the official launch of the EOSC Finnish Forum (the EOSC-FF). There were three topics on the agenda. Firstly, the Coordinating Committee agreed on its ways of working and meeting schedule for 2021.

Secondly, the committee discussed the proposal for the on-boarding process to join the EOSC Finnish Forum and the engagement plan related to it. Everybody endorsed the suggestion to keep the on-boarding process as simple and inclusive as possible and welcomed the first ideas for engagement activities. It was agreed that the EOSC-FF Office and the representatives of the Federation of Finnish Learned Societies will discuss the engagement plan in more detail to align it with the communication and engagement mechanisms of the National Open Science Coordination.

Lastly, the Coordinating Committee agreed on the roles and responsibilities in view of the upcoming webinar “EOSC in Finland and in the European Context” which would take place on the 25th of January.

The next meeting will take place on the 10th of March 2021.
